Press Release Summary: Prodapter chassis and modules offer performance, reliability
and redundancy for IPTV solutions, ideal for hospitality, corporate and education
environments

Press Release Body: London, 13th March 2008: Exterity, a specialist in network IPTV,
launched its new prodapter Family at this year's IPTV World Forum. Responding to
the rapid growth in IPTV take-up, coupled with customer demand for more capability
in less IT rack space, Exterity has created the prodapter chassis and complementary
modules which together provide users with a highly scalable IPTV system with built
in redundancy and hot swap capabilities which give a very high level of reliability.

Suited to the corporate, education, hospitality and broadcast sectors, the prodapter
Family is available immediately from Exterity partners.
The prodapter has 10 PCB slots, each of which can take an Exterity encoder or TV
gateway module, providing a 200+ channel output. Using flexible hardware
architecture like the prodapter, which can deliver more streams from fewer servers,
means that companies can benefit from lower capital expenses, such as using less
rack space, less power and less heat.

By supporting host switch redundancy, N + 1 redundancy and hot swap capabilities,
the prodapter offers the highest possible availability, reliability and robustness
with no single point of failure, because individually failing modules do not prevent
working modules from broadcasting feeds to the network. Upgrades and repairs can be
conducted on-site preventing the need for complete system downs while upgrades take
place, eliminating downtime.

Other redundant features of the prodaptor include five hot-swap fan modules, up to
three power slots and a passive back plane, all of which are key to this market.
All current Exterity encoder and gateway functionality will be available in the
prodaptor and modules available for mounting into the Chassis include:

- PRO Encoder
- SDI Encoder
- HDMI Encoder
- HD PRO Encoder
- HD 3G SDI Encoder
- DVB-S and DVB-S2 TVgateway
- DVB-T TVgateway
- ASI TVgateway
- DVB-S and DVB-S2 with CAM Module

The prodapter is ideally suited to a range of industry sectors, offering the following:

- Corporate: When the supply of live TV and audio to an organisation is vital for
business processes, the reliability and redundancy of the Exterity Prodaptor is a
critical addition to an IPTV system.
- Education: Perfect for large schools, colleges and universities where the
reliability of video teaching resources is essential.
- Hospitality: Provide live networked TV and audio feeds around a sports complex or
stadium; benefiting from the built in redundancy and peace of mind delivered by the
Exterity Prodaptor.
- Broadcast: Provide live studio feeds for editorial review with the high-end
reliability required in a modern broadcast organisation
